As of January 2004 Wellington Veterinary Clinic purchased a blood analyzer, thus expanding our in house laboratory capabilities. Abnormalities in chemicals within the blood help us diagnose short term emergency conditions such as kidney failure, diabetes or even toxicities. It also allows us to perform our recommended annual blood tests within a very short time. Now with the capabilities to test stool samples, urine samples and blood we can diagnose illnesses or monitor chronic conditions within minutes versus days. Quick diagnosis will lead to lives being saved and a improved medical department within this facility.
